We are all born the same, but we live very different lives. Of course, our success is influenced by the social status of the family, access to education, place of birth and the combination of genes, but we can agree that not everyone with favorable basic conditions reaches heights. Why does this happen?

There are a number of reasons that we may not be aware of, but they have a tangible effect on our physical and mental health, and therefore affect the level of vital energy, which a person’s success and happiness depend on. Our task is to find the root cause of problems and get the complex treatment.

This is exactly what Glossodontics® does.

This unique technique, which was developed by Dr. Volodymyr Pastuk, allows you to approach the treatment comprehensively and correct not only the local problem, but also restore the work of the entire system.

Let’s talk about Glossodontics® in more detail.

What does Glossodontic® study?

The term “Glossodontics” is based on two words glossa (from Greek “tongue”) and dontics (from Latin “science of teeth”).

The subject of study in the mentioned methodology is the structure and functions of the tongue, perilingual tissues and muscles, jaw and dental structures and the influence of this entire anatomical complex on the general health of people.

The Glossodontics® system consists of three subsystems:

1) soft tissues, muscles;

2) facial bones, jaws;

3) teeth.

Each of these subsystems consists of other parts, all of which have an impact on health. Any disturbance in any part of the named anatomical complex not only leads to changes in adjacent systems and organs, but also affects the entire body and, ultimately, the energy level.

The Glossodontics® system enables a person to learn about the causes of problems (functional diagnosis), identify the appropriate specialist to solve the problem and receive professional help (operative intervention and therapeutic methods), as well as learn the skill of self-regulation (lifestyle change, self-help, etc.).

What is the uniqueness of the method?

The peculiarity of Glossodontics® is a comprehensive systematic approach to all problems and errors in the development of organs and systems that are the subject of its study.

Currently, these problems are being solved in three directions:

  • “Orthodontics” (Greek orthros – straight, correct, Latin odontos – tooth) – teaching about the position of teeth.
  • “Orthognathia” (Greek orthros – straight, correct, gnathos – jaw) – the science of the position of the jaw.
  • “Glossology” – (greek. glossa – “tongue”) – the study of the structures and function of the tongue and surrounding muscles.

With the traditional approach to treatment, specialists of the above-mentioned areas solve only local problems, not taking into account the fact that all the named structures are inextricably linked and have an undeniable influence on each other. Therefore, this approach is not effective enough. Moreover, neglecting these connections when correcting a local defect can lead to the appearance or exacerbation of problems in adjacent systems and organs.

An effective solution lies in the plane of the integrated approach. This is exactly what Glossodontics® offers.

Dr. Vladimir Pastouk

The main goal of the method is to restore the natural position, shape and functions of each element of the mentioned anatomical complex (tongue, lips, jaws, etc.), which leads to positive changes both in the organs themselves and in the whole body. Such transformations lead to a noticeable improvement in the quality of life, but at the same time require a person to make conscious changes in behavior patterns and lifestyle. Therefore, the success of treatment largely depends on how actively and persistently the patient engages.

All components of the Glossodontics® system are important, but experience shows that the most important is the tongue. It often requires correction.

Tongue is the manager of the body

One of the key problems faced by patients who turn to doctors of the above-mentioned areas of medicine (and not only to them) is the anchor tongue. It is also called “ankyloglossia” (from the Greek. άγϰύλος – crooked, γλῶσσα – tongue), “Tongue tie”, or “shortened bridle of the tongue”.

Due to it, a whole series of changes can occur in a person, which will eventually lead to various pathological conditions (from colic and early caries in children to headaches and cardiovascular diseases in adults).

Mouth breathing is an important indicator that everything in the body did not go according to the natural scenario. But it is not the only one. Among the frequent and influential problems caused by a shortened frenulum of the tongue, it is worth mentioning the following: swallowing disorders, sleep apnea, speech therapy problems, insomnia, migraines. And this, again, is far from the entire list of potential troubles. There are many more of them.

The tongue is really a very influential organ and should be given a lot of attention.

Dr. Vladimir Pastouk

How and when to solve the problem of anchor tongue?

Tongue tie (ankyloglossia) is a congenital defect that can remain unnoticed for a long time. If the frenulum is very short and thick, it can be seen even in babies. However, unfortunately, this mini-defect is not found in all babies. Although its correction at an early age is the best solution. In this case, you can immediately ensure the correct development of a person and prevent the appearance of many potential diseases and disorders. For example, the need to wear braces will disappear, children will not develop ADHD, women will not have neck, shoulder and head pain, men will not snore and risk heart attacks in middle age, etc.

But there is good news – you can adjust the anchor tongue at any age.

Dr. Vladimir Pastouk

The point is to finally understand what is the root cause of the problems and find the right solution together with a specialist.

An anchor tongue requires surgical intervention (a relatively simple surgery), a whole complex of therapeutic methods of correction, change of habits, etc. The selection of complex treatment depends on the patient’s condition and the set of identified problems.

Dr. Pastouk believes that Glossodontics® treatment is always a team game, in which the patient is the key player. As already mentioned, it largely depends on how tangible the transformation will be. And it will concern not only physical health and comfort – a person’s whole life will change for the better: physical form, emotions, creativity, business skills, relationships, a sense of happiness and the ability to achieve in any field.

Glossodontics® allows you to see for yourself that it is never too late to become the best version of yourself and finally realize the mission with which we came into this world – to live a happy and fulfilled life. So don’t delay the changes! They are always on time.
